Muslim marriage CV: format and template.
In the UK, a marriage biodata usually goes by marriage CV or rishta CV. It's the one-page introduction your family shares when you're looking for a spouse. Here's what to put on yours, a template you can copy, and a free maker that turns it into a PDF.

What is a marriage CV?
A marriage CV is a short profile used to introduce someone for marriage: your details, your deen, your education and work, your family, and what you're looking for. British Muslim families often call it a marriage CV or rishta CV, while South Asian families elsewhere say biodata. It's the same document.
It isn't a job CV. Families aren't scanning for achievements; they want a sense of who you are, how you practise, and whether your families and plans fit. Keep it to one page, and write it yourself.

Tips for a marriage CV that gets a reply
Keep it to one page
Families read quickly. One page, with a photo only if you're comfortable, is plenty.
Specific beats impressive
“Prays five times a day and goes to a weekly halaqah” tells a family more than “practising”.
Say where you'd live
Location decides a lot. Say your city, and whether you'd move within the UK or abroad.
Route contact through family
Put your wali's or family's contact, or an Apply to match code from your pair.link, not your own number.
Marriage CV questions, answered.
Is a marriage CV the same as a rishta CV?
Yes. Marriage CV, rishta CV and marriage biodata all mean the same one-page introduction. Which name a family uses mostly depends on where they live.
What should I put on a Muslim marriage CV?
Your basic details, your deen, your education and work, your family, a few sentences about you, what you're looking for, and a contact through your wali or family.
Should I put a photo on my marriage CV?
Only if you're comfortable. Many families prefer a first introduction without one. The free maker lets you add a photo or leave it off.
Can I make a marriage CV for free?
Yes. The pair.link biodata maker is free, needs no signup, and can title your document “Marriage CV”. Download it as a PDF or an image.
Can I share my marriage CV without giving out my number?
Yes. With a free account, add your pair.link to your CV and it gets an Apply to match code, so people apply through inpairs instead of calling you. pair.link is available in the UK.
Ready to be seen, on your terms?
Free to create, and off until you choose to share it.
May Allah make it easy.
